The University of Utah women's soccer team is preparing for a week of action involving both road and home matches. The schedule begins with a trip to visit Oklahoma State followed by a matchup against No. 14 Texas Tech.
Utah is scheduled to play Oklahoma State at 6 p.m. MT on Thursday, Oct. 22, at Neal Patterson Stadium in Stillwater, Okla. This matchup marks the first time the two programs have met in more than 15 years, with their last encounter occurring in 2009 when Oklahoma State won 3-0. Following the Oklahoma State game, the Utes will host No. 14 Texas Tech on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 12 p.m. MT at Ute Field in Salt Lake City.
The Red Raiders enter the Sunday matchup tied for first place in the Big 12 with a 5-1-1 conference record. Their defense has allowed only nine goals, which is tied for the second-fewest in the league. Goalkeeper Addie Todd has played every minute of every match for Texas Tech and holds a .643 goals against average, ranking third in the Big 12.
Utah enters the upcoming week with a 4-7-4 record. In their most recent contest, goalkeeper Anna Solomon recorded her fifth clean sheet of the season against Arizona. Solomon, who was named the Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week on Aug. 19, currently ties for fourth in the Big 12 for total shutouts.
The Utes' roster features several key contributors, including forward Sophie Bellini and Shannon Davidson, who leads the squad in goals and points. The team's coaching staff includes head coach Hideki Nakada alongside Jackie Poortinga, Sam Gomez, and Emma Greenwood.
