artsFUSION is working to bring movement, color, rhythm, and expression into the lives of children, teachers, and families in Southern Utah through high quality arts integration programs and services, according to a September 1 statement.
The organization aims to increase the quantity and quality of arts learning experiences for children in the region. Its mission is supported through four primary areas: mentoring arts teachers in Beaver, Garfield, Iron, Millard, Piute, Sevier, and Wayne counties; providing professional development such as workshops and on-site services for education staff; facilitating community projects for local and preservice teachers; and delivering arts integration courses to elementary education majors at Southern Utah University.
Upcoming events hosted at the Southern Utah Museum of Art (MA) include Wonder Wednesday on Wednesday, September 2 and Wednesday, October 7, both at 4:00 pm MT. Additionally, Create Playdate sessions are scheduled for Friday, September 11, Friday, September 25, Friday, October 9, and Friday, October 23, all at 10:00 am MT.
