The Lehi Historical Society has announced the honorees for the 2026 Lehi Heritage Day. These individuals have served the community in various ways to make it better.
This year's honorees include current and former members of the Lehi Round-Up Rodeo Committee, Lehi’s Board of Adjustments, the Lehi Arts Council, the Lehi Historical Society Committee, Lehi Serves, the Boy Scouts of America, and Miss Lehi. The list also includes Little League coaches, Girls’ Camp volunteers, and a member of the Lehi Silver Band.
The 2026 honorees are Joseph and Penny H. Adamson, Kim E. and Laurie D. Cooper, Lec Don and Kim Roundy Holmes, Stanley R. and Kathy Lynn Smith, Robb Strong, Lenard Alva and Julia H. Wing, and Shawn Lott and Nikkole Winters.
Lara Bangerter, the director of the Lehi Historical Society since 2017, stated that it is a pleasure to recognize outstanding community members and described the tradition as heartwarming and inspiring.
For the first time, Lehi Heritage Day will not occur on Labor Day. Instead, the event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29, from 2:30 to 6 p.m. at the new Lehi Civic Center located at 131 N. 100 East. The celebration will feature a parade, an honoree program, exhibits, a car show, food trucks, and the grand finale of the Lehi Historical Marker Quest.
The Lehi Historical Marker Quest involves visiting twenty-six historical markers to collect stickers in passports. Participants who visit markers in person receive more entries for prize drawings on Lehi Heritage Day.
Passports for the quest are available at the Lehi Historical Society offices, 99 W. Main St., Ste 100, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from noon to 5 p.m.
Archivist for the Lehi Historical Society Paula Berg noted that people have been excited to share what they have learned and the connections they have discovered through the quest.
Lehi Heritage Day is a free community event organized by the Lehi Historical Society and sponsored by Lehi City. Support is also provided by a Lehi City PARC Grant, HADCO Construction, SIRQ Construction, and Strata Networks.
