The true story of Mollie's Pack and the return of wolves to Yellowstone is being featured in a new production by Grizzly Creek Films. The narrative follows the events beginning January 12, 1995, when wolves returned to Yellowstone after a 50-year period of extirpation.
The history of this return involves Mollie Beattie, who served as the director of the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Beattie carried the first Canadian born wolf, identified as Alpha Female Wolf No. 5, into the experimental acclimation enclosure within the park.
Following that event, the lives of the wolves and Beattie became forever connected.
The production will be available at several IMAX locations across the United States and Canada. In Utah, the film is scheduled to play at the Northrop Grumman IMAX at the Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake City.
Other participating United States locations include theaters in Austin, Fort Lauderdale, Grand Canyon, Indianapolis, Raleigh, Sacramento, San Diego, San Jose, Seattle, Shreveport, Tallahassee, and Chattanooga.
