The Centerville City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, August 12th, 2026, at 7:00pm at Centerville City Hall. The meeting will address proposed amendments to the Municipal Code and Zoning Code regarding the Landmarks Commission and the Whitaker Museum Board.
The proposed Municipal Code Text Amendments include changes to Section 3.03.060, which seeks to change the name of the Landmarks Commission to the Historic Preservation Commission. There are also proposed amendments to Section 3.03.070 regarding the Whitaker Museum Board.
Additionally, the Zoning Code Text Amendments include a proposal for Section 12.20.070 to change the name of the Landmarks Commission to the Historic Preservation Commission. The amendments also seek to allow members of the Whitaker Museum Board to act as members of the Historic Preservation Commission, formerly known as the Landmarks Commission.
