Bechtel has awarded $30,000 in Community Commitment Grants to nine local nonprofit organizations serving Northern Utah counties, according to an October 20 statement from the Ogden-Weber Chamber. The grants were distributed through the company's employee-led Community Investment advisory Committee (CIAC).
Five of the recipient organizations are members of the Ogden-Weber Chamber. Chuck Leonhardt, the Chamber's President and CEO, attended a recent award ceremony to recognize the nonprofits.
The 2026 grant recipients include Free Community Meal, Ogden Contemporary Arts, Suzy’s Senior Companionship Services, Homeless Veterans Fellowship, Ogden Nature Center, Catholic Community Services food program, Ogden School Foundation, Hope Hero Foundation, and Wolf Creek Foundation.
The initiative allows Bechtel employees to connect with local nonprofits to create community impact. Nonprofits serving Northern Utah can look for Bechtel's 2027 Community Commitment Grant opportunities next summer. In previous years, organizations were encouraged to email UtahGrantApp@bechtel.us for application instructions and forms.
