Logan High football won the 3A North region championship on October 14 after defeating the Morgan Trojans 32-22. The Grizzlies used a short passing game, quarterback speed, and four forced turnovers to secure the victory.
Logan scored the first points of the game on a 20-yard pass from Easton Favero to Royce Sargent with 11:29 remaining in the second quarter. The pair later connected for a second touchdown from 3 yards out with 5:04 left in the period. Shortly after, Ethan Carson intercepted Morgan quarterback Owen Gilson and returned the ball 36 yards for a touchdown, extending the Logan lead to 20-0.
Morgan responded before halftime when Gilson threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to Owen Belliston, bringing the score to 20-7. The Trojans added another score on the second play of the second half, as George Thurston caught a short pass from Gilson and ran for a 66-yard touchdown.
Logan regained control in the third quarter when Favero ran for a 64-yard touchdown at the 7:14 mark. Favero then found Sargent for an 8-yard touchdown pass to give Logan a 32-14 lead with 30 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
Morgan closed the scoring with 4:09 left in the game after Gilson connected with Thurston for a 4-yard touchdown and a successful two-point conversion. While the Trojans recovered an onside kick, they later turned the ball over on downs.

The win marks a significant turnaround for the program, which recorded eight wins in this campaign after going 8-23 over the previous three seasons. Morgan finishes with an 8-2 record and a 4-1 record in the region. Gilson completed 314 passing yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions during the contest.
