The Bryce Canyon Half Marathon and 5K Walk/Run will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The half marathon course begins at Ruby's Inn on Highway 63 in Bryce and follows a point-to-point route that descends through Bryce Canyon National Park to Cannonville, featuring a net elevation loss of 1,800 feet.
The half marathon starts at 6:00 AM and travels east onto National Scenic Byway 12. Runners will pass through the town of Tropic before finishing in Cannonville at an elevation of 5,800 feet. The race includes a $3,000 purse, with cash prizes for the top five overall male and female finishers.
Seven aid stations are located along the half marathon course, providing water and Gatorade. The 5K Walk/Run is scheduled to start at 6:30 AM at Cannonville Town Park, traveling south along Kodachrome Road near Promise Rock.
Registration fees for the events vary based on the time of purchase. For the half marathon, prices range from $55 during early registration to $100 for same-day in-person registration on July 10. The 5K Walk/Run fees range from $50 to $70. All registered participants will receive a runner's shirt, finisher medal, and refreshments including fruit, bagels, and chocolate milk at the finish line.
