The Weber County Board of County Commissioners has appointed new members to the Government Records Access and Management Act Appeals Board, according to a resolution published September 11. The appointments fill roles following the recent resignation of board member James Ebert.
Kevin Burns, who has been serving as an alternate member, has been appointed to serve as a member of the board. Burns is described as a member of the public with professional experience in managing public records. Lacy Richards has been appointed to serve as an alternate member of the board.
The appointments are effective immediately. Members of the appeals board serve at the pleasure of the Board of County Commissioners and will serve until a replacement is appointed or the member resigns or otherwise vacates the position.
