The Salt Lake City Council adopted a $2.1 billion budget for Fiscal Year 2026-27 on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. The approved spending plan prioritizes public safety, essential services, neighborhood infrastructure, and financial stewardship.
In addition to the budget adoption, Salt Lake City has the opportunity to consider an ordinance for the Community Clean Energy Program following a recent approval by the Public Service Commission.
Upcoming city meetings include a C.R.A. and City Council meeting scheduled for July 14 at the City & County Building and online. A standard City Council meeting is also set for July 21.
Council District 6, which encompasses Bonneville Hills, East Bench, Foothill Sunnyside, Wasatch Hollow, and Yalecrest, continues to provide community updates through annual newsletters and town hall meetings at the Anderson Foothill Library.
