The declaration follows the tradition of Constitution Day, which Americans observe each year on September 17 to remember the historic achievement. Throughout the month, communities across the nation honor the document through public events, reflection, and educational programs.
In alignment with this observance, the State of Utah recognizes September as American Founders and Constitution Month. This state-wide recognition encourages citizens to study and celebrate the enduring principles found within the Constitution.
The Council has invited all schools, organizations, faith communities, and residents to participate in activities throughout Constitution Month. The initiative serves as an opportunity for the community to reflect on the anniversary of the signing of the Constitution.
