Washington County is seeking proposals from qualified industry experts to provide construction services for a new trail park project. The scope of work includes the construction of an access road, deceleration lane, trailhead, parking area, and staging area.
The project is being funded by Washington County in collaboration with Desert Color.
The trail park was designed to serve as a racing course and venue space for high school mountain biking competitions through the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) Utah High School Cycling League. The project's inspiration stems from a goal to provide a long-term home for the league's fall state championship.
In addition to supporting cycling competitions, the park will host various other events that utilize trails. When not being used for specific events, the trails will remain open for public use.
Proposals must be submitted to the County no later than 2:00 pm on August 10, 2026. Submissions should include one electronic copy and two physical copies delivered to the Greater Zion Convention and Tourism Office in St. George.
A public bid opening is scheduled for August 10, 2026, at 2:30 pm at the Washington County Administration Building in room 182.
