Roy City has announced the upcoming schedule for its annual Roy Days Events. This tradition includes a variety of community activities designed for both local residents and those from surrounding cities.
Scholarship and art competitions
The events are scheduled to begin in July with several competitions and exhibitions. The Miss Roy Scholarship Competition will take place at Roy High School on July 18 at 6:00pm. Additionally, the Roy City Arts Council is hosting a Roy Days Art Show at the Roy Southwest Branch Library from July 18 through August 1.
Golf, fishing, and outdoor sports
Outdoor activities include a Golf Tournament at Riverside Golf Course on July 17 starting at 8:00am and Night Golf at Eagle Lake Golf Course on July 30 at 10:00pm. A Fishing Derby will be held at the Roger Phil Burnett Meadow Creek Pond on July 25 from 7:00am to 11:00am; participants aged 12 and older are required to have a valid fishing license.
Splash bash and salmon dinner
Other scheduled activities include a Splash Bash at the Roy Aquatic Center on July 27, and a Salmon Bake Dinner at Emma Russell Park on July 31 from 4:30pm to 7:00pm.
Community breakfast and morning runs
The celebration continues into August with a series of events centered around the community. A Community Breakfast will be held at the Hope Center on August 1 from 6:30am to 9:00am.
August 1st parade and park festivities
On August 1, the schedule includes a 5K Run, 2-Mile Walk, and Kids Fun Run starting at 7:00am at the Fire Station. A parade is scheduled for 9:00am on 1900 W.
Park activities and basketball tournament
George Wahlen Park will host multiple activities on August 1, including Vendor Booths, a Fun Zone, Entertainment, and a Car Show between 11:00am and 7:00pm. A 3v3 Basketball Tournament will also take place at the park starting at 12:00pm.
The Roy Days festivities conclude with a fireworks display to end the night. The city invites community members to browse through official resources to learn more about all scheduled events.
