Midvale City has passed a resolution to appoint Rebecca Pipkin as a Member Alternate for the Planning Commission, according to a resolution published October 19. The appointment follows the resignation of a previous member.
The City Council consented to Mayor Gettel's appointment of Pipkin to fill the unexpired term vacated by Michael Edwards. Pipkin's term on the Planning Commission is scheduled to continue until February 2028.
Under the Midvale City Municipal Code, the Planning Commission consists of five members and two member alternates serving four-year terms. Pipkin was selected for the role based on her interest in city policy and her history of volunteering within Midvale City.
The resolution regarding the appointment took effect immediately upon approval.
