Lehi City Police responded to a domestic incident at approximately 2:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, where they discovered an unresponsive woman allegedly strangled by her husband.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where she was stabilized and moved to the intensive care unit. While police reported her condition remained serious, Hadley Milner, Communications Coordinator for Lehi City, stated on April 30 that the victim is alert and responding to medical treatment.
The husband was taken into custody following an interview and booked into the Utah County Jail. He faces several charges, including attempted homicide (domestic violence enhanced), which is a first-degree felony. Additional charges include domestic violence in the presence of a child, a third-degree felony, and a class C misdemeanor for intoxication.
The Lehi City Police Department encourages individuals experiencing domestic violence to develop safety plans for themselves and any children in the household.
