Lehi City has moved into Phase II of its water conservation plan as the community enters warmer months. The decision follows record low snowpack and ongoing drought conditions, according to the May edition of the Lehi Ledger.
Mayor Paul Binns stated that the city is focusing on the importance of water conservation during this period. Under the current plan, outdoor watering is limited to two days per week, with a requirement of at least 48 hours between irrigation sessions.
Lehi City is also applying these same guidelines to parks and public spaces. The city is utilizing smart irrigation technology in these areas to maximize efficiency.
The city noted that residents can help protect limited resources and support long-term community sustainability by making small, mindful changes at home.
