The Huntsville Town Council is scheduled to hold a work session and a regular meeting on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, according to a notice published Oct. 5. The meetings will take place at the Huntsville Town Hall located at 7474 E. 200 S.
A work session is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. to discuss the alleyway located at 6750 E. between 100 S. and 200 N. Following the work session, a regular session is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
During the regular session, the council will hear from the Mayor, conduct a pledge of allegiance, and hold an opening ceremony. Public comments are scheduled, with residents allotted three minutes each. The agenda also includes a sheriff report and updates from the Mayor and Councilmembers Bruce Ahlstrom, Sandy Hunter, Lewis Johnson, and Jim Truett.
Action items for the meeting include the approval of minutes from the Sept. 17, 2026, meeting and the approval of Ordinance 2026-9-3 Title 2 Administration. The council will also consider several boundary line adjustments involving GRE, Town, Fire station, Ski Town, and Church parcels. Additionally, the council will discuss Resolution 2026-10-08-B regarding a Johansen Construction Contract, an interlocal agreement with Weber County for election services, and $3,500 for grading work at the Green Waste Facility.
The public is welcome to attend these meetings at the Huntsville Town Hall. The council may hold the meeting electronically to allow participation from staff or council members.
