The Bureau of Land Management has announced the implementation of Stage 2 Fire Restrictions for all BLM-managed public lands in Utah, effective today.
The decision comes as a response to rapidly increasing fire danger across the region.
Under the new fire prevention order, all open fires of any kind are prohibited.
The restrictions also prohibit smoking, except when it occurs within a vehicle or an enclosed area. Additionally, activities such as grinding, cutting, and welding are prohibited under the new order.
