Tooele County has adopted a resolution to increase specific funds within its 2026 fiscal year budget, according to a September 1, 2026, resolution. The amendments increase the Capital Improvement Fund by $1,250,000 and the Building Rental Fund by $229,046.
The increase to the Capital Improvement Fund raises the total from $23,107,085 to $24,357,085. According to the resolution, the adjustments include $1,000,000 from Corridor Preservation for the Village Blvd. acquisition and $250,000 from the third quarter for Village Blvd. construction, as requested by Community Development.
The Building Rental Fund will increase from zero to $229,046. The Auditor's Office requested this adjustment to close out the Rental Fund, which requires transferring the cash out of the fund.
The resolution was passed by the Tooele County Council following a public hearing conducted on September 1, 2026. The council members present for the vote included Jared Shamner, who serves as Council Chair, along with members Hamner, Hoffmann, Stromberg, Thomas, and Wardle.
