TeamSmile, in partnership with Jordan School District and Real Salt Lake, provided dozens of students with dental checkups and preventive care at America First Field, according to an October 12 statement.
Local dentists, hygienists, and volunteers provided underserved children with cleanings, screenings, and immediate treatments at no cost to the students or the District. Local team mascots participated to help make the dental appointments fun and exciting for the students.
TeamSmile aims to prevent oral hygiene issues from causing classroom distractions or school absences. The collaboration between healthcare professionals, schools, and sports organizations is intended to ensure students have healthier smiles and the support required to thrive.
