Real Salt Lake is scheduled to resume Major League Soccer action on Saturday, Oct. 11, in an away match against the Philadelphia Union. According to an October 9 report, the kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. MT.
The match features a matchup between Real Salt Lake, which holds a 9W-13L-5T record with 32 points, and the Philadelphia Union, who sit 6th in the Eastern Conference with 39 points. The Union have won six consecutive MLS matches and 10 of their last 12 contests. Real Salt Lake expects to potentially welcome back several players from injury, international absences, or visa issues, including Juan Manuel Sanabria, Saba Lobjanidze, Luca Moisa, Colin Guske, Kobi Henry, Luc de Fougerolles, Dušan Žagar, Zach Booth, and Ariath Piol.
Real Salt Lake's last outing was on Sept. 26, when they defeated New England 3-0 at home. During that match, Sergi Solans scored two goals, bringing his 2026 total to 15 goals across all competitions. The victory ended a 13-game winless streak in MLS action. In their previous visit to Subaru Park in Chester, Penn., Real Salt Lake won on April 27, 2024, with a 2-1 scoreline.
The Philadelphia Union is currently led by 17-year-old Cavan Sullivan, who has recorded six goals and eight assists in his last eight MLS contests. Real Salt Lake head coach Pablo Mastroeni has managed the club in 215 matches across all competitions since late August 2021, recording 86 wins, 79 losses, and 50 draws.
