The Lehi Legacy Center has announced the Evil Scientist Academy Summer Camp for students in grades 1 through 5. The program offers various science-based activities for the 2026-2027 school year.
The camp features two distinct subject areas: Electromagnetic Mayhem and Rocketry & Flight. In the Electromagnetic Mayhem sessions, students explore static electricity, circuits, and magnetic force through activities such as building flashlights and using magnetic silly putty. The Rocketry & Flight sessions focus on the science of flight through activities like model rocket launches and CO2 dragster races.
Session 1 of the camp is scheduled for July 20, 21, 22, and 23. During this session, Electromagnetic Mayhem is held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., while Rocketry & Flight takes place from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.p. Session 2 is scheduled for August 10, 11, 12, and 13. In the second session, Rocketry & Flight is held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and Electromagnetic Mayhem is held from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Registration for the camp began May 1st. Fees for the program are $130 for Lehi residents and $176 for non-residents. The cost includes four classes and instruction. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable, and space is limited.
Parents of children aged 7 and younger must pick up or drop off children directly from the classroom for safety. Participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks to fuel during class.
The Lehi Legacy Center is located at 123 North Center Street. Registration can be completed online or at the Legacy Center Registration Office during normal business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
