The West Haven City Planning Commission scheduled a public hearing for Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, to receive public input regarding a zoning map amendment for properties at 2057 S 2700 W, according to a September 10 notice.
The hearing is intended to address the rezoning of parcels 150760118, 154230002, and 150760158 from an A-1 zone to an R-2 zone.
The proposed change involves 9.42 acres. The applicant stated the purpose of the rezoning is to make the property congruent with the general plan.
The current A-1 Agricultural zone allows for residential development on lots with a minimum area of 20,000 square feet, alongside various agricultural and residential uses. The proposed R-2 Residential Low-Moderate Density zone allows for residential development with a maximum of two units per acre and a minimum lot size of 12,500 square feet.
The hearing was scheduled for 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers at 4150 South 3900 West. Public comment can be provided in person, via Zoom, or through written submissions sent to the City Recorder by 4:30 PM on Sept. 23, 2026. Written comments will be provided to both the Planning Commission and City Council.
