A drone pilot was cited Thursday afternoon after allegedly flying in restricted airspace over the Iron Fire area outside Eureka, according to the Utah County Sheriff's Office.
The incident took place in southwestern Utah County.
Deputies from the Utah County Sheriff's Office detected the drone at approximately 2 p.m.
Authorities were able to locate the private pilot operating the drone and issued a citation following the detection.
