The Owen Canyon Fire in Box Elder County remains at 0% containment with no updated acreage reported, according to a report published August 23.
The fire, which was previously referred to as the Chokecherry Fire, is currently being managed by crews working in rough terrain.
A task force and local heavy equipment have been placed at the scene. Aviation resources were reported as en route to the area.
Updated acreage for the fire was expected to be released this afternoon. Additional information is expected as resources continue to assess conditions.
