Park City High School is set to host its first home football game at the upgraded Dozier Field, following a massive $15.7 million renovation project that transformed the athletic complex. The improvements, which include a new track surface and reconstructed home-side bleachers, were made possible through a multi-phase master plan approved by the Park City School District Board of Education.
Dozier Field Modernization Details
The reconstruction of Dozier Field is part of a larger modernization strategy for the high school campus and the Treasure Mountain Sports Complex. As part of Phase 4 of the Master Athletics Plan, the district focused on addressing aging infrastructure to meet the growing participation in athletics and community activities across the district.
Infrastructure and Amenities
The Phase 4 project, which the Board of Education approved during a special board meeting on Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, includes a full reconstruction of the home-side bleachers. This new concrete seating structure is designed to be a multi-functional facility, featuring integrated locker rooms, restrooms, concessions, a press box, and additional storage space to support high school athletics and various community events.
Stadium Features
While the stadium underwent significant structural changes, the existing synthetic turf was preserved for continued use because it still has a useful life. Additionally, the district planned improvements near the southeast stadium entrance to replace temporary restroom facilities and create an enhanced space for visiting teams, officials, and storage needs.
Fiscal Management and Planning
To manage the high costs of the project, district leaders worked with design and construction teams to implement several cost-saving measures. These adjustments included modifying branding elements, scaling back initial landscaping plans to focus on essential competition facilities, and eliminating a canopy that was originally considered for a future phase.

Park City School District Superintendent Lyndsay Huntsman noted that the project was made possible through long-term planning and a commitment to fiscal responsibility. She stated that the use of remaining bond funds and existing district reserves allowed the district to complete the improvements without any added financial burden or increase in taxes for the community.
