Millcreek Junior High is conducting its annual Tournament of Champions fundraiser and food drive, according to a November 3 statement. The event aims to collect money and food to support students in the community.
All money raised during the fundraiser is used to support students, including the purchase of Christmas gifts and other essential items for those in need. All food donations are sent to the Bountiful Food Pantry.
Students are divided into four guilds: Lions, Dragons, Phoenix, and Wolves, which are based on RAP. Students with home release for RAP are members of the Lion Guild.
Guilds earn points by making money donations, donating food, participating in school activities, or purchasing items from the Merchant Guild. The guild with the highest point total at the end of the week wins the Golden Knight Trophy, bragging rights for one year, and a RAP party scheduled for next week.
Money donations can be made in person during RAP or online. Students can also earn points by participating in dress-up days, lunch activities, and by turning in activity passports.
