Kylie Blake, a third grade teacher at South Clearfield Elementary School, has been named the Davis School District’s Outstanding New Educator for the 2024-25 school year. The announcement was made during a surprise award ceremony held during a school faculty meeting.
Teacher receives district recognition
Blake was recognized for demonstrating extraordinary dedication, compassion, and talent as a new educator. According to the commendation, she has been honored for fostering meaningful connections with students, embracing innovation, and inspiring a culture of kindness, growth, and curiosity. The award noted that her impact is expected to ripple through her school community for years.
Prizes awarded to classroom teacher
As part of this recognition, Blake received a cash award and a 3D printer to use in her classroom. The award is sponsored by the Davis Education Foundation, Tanner Clinic, and the Young Caring For Our Young Foundation.
Deep roots in local community
Blake has deep ties to the local community as a former student of South Clearfield. She noted that she enjoys being coworkers with people who were once her teachers and likes sharing stories from her childhood with her students. She also highlighted continuing school traditions such as wearing Panther shirts on Fridays, participating in swim lessons, and having lunch with the mayor.

A graduate of Clearfield High School, Blake holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Weber State University and a Master of Arts in English Language Learning from Western Governors University.
