SALT LAKE CITY — Utah's beautiful outdoor venues are ready to show off, and so are some big-name stars.
Expert concert recommendations
Sarah Davies is the host of the podcast “More Than Musicians,” and curated a list of the best date night concerts for the summer. Davies said with the warm Utah weather, concerts allow fun experiences outside.
“Connection can happen in these concerts, and it's actually really special,” Davies said.
Alex Warren performance details

Davies said Alex Warren is having his moment on social media right now. With his songs like “Ordinary,” Davies said even if you don't think you've heard the song, you have.
“Listen to that with your partner on date night, it sounds awesome to me,” Davies said about the song.
Josh Groban and Jennifer Hudson
Josh Groban- Maverick Center, West Valley City, July 3
Davies said the Josh Groban concert is going to appeal to a wide range of audiences. Groban will have special guest Jennifer Hudson. This will be a multi-generational, family-friendly concert for the whole family.
“It's such a fun contrast, and together they are two powerhouse voices,” Davies said. “It's going to be an incredible show.”
Post Malone and Jelly Roll
Post Malone and Jelly Roll- Rice-Eccles Stadium, Salt Lake City, July 23
Davies said this concert would be perfect for a bigger hangout with friends. She said to grab some couples, go to dinner and have fun at the concert.
“It's going to be a little bit of a rowdier crowd,” Davies said. She mentioned this concert will feature country, hip-hop and pop music.
Zach Bryan- Rice-Eccles Stadium, Salt Lake City, Aug. 7
Davies said sometimes the outfit plans the date night, and the date night plans the outfit. The Zach Bryan concert is a great example of grabbing your cowboy boots for a cute date night.
“Zach Bryan has a really loyal following because he's got these intimate, emotional songs, and I think that's going to make a really fun date night,” Davies said.
Noah Kahan concert alert
Noah Kahan, America First Field, Sandy, Aug. 25
Davies said if you want tickets for Noah Kahan, you need to look fast.
“His stuff is so relatable, so personable, and the people here, especially in Utah, just love it,” Davies said.
