Kaysville City is preparing for a variety of 4th of July celebrations featuring community traditions ranging from parades to musical performances. The festivities include the Red, White and Boom celebration at Barnes Park, which will feature local food trucks, bounce houses, and music from Code Blue, the Revolvers, and the Greg Simpson band leading up to a fireworks show.
Upcoming Patriotic Devotional Event
Additional events scheduled for the holiday period include a patriotic devotional on June 30th and several community theater performances.
The Patriotic Devotional will take place at the Davis High Auditorium on Sunday, June 30th at 7:00 pm. Jennie Taylor is scheduled as the guest speaker to share her husband Brent Taylor's legacy of service and her love for the country.
Community Theater Production Details
Kaysville Community Theatre will present a production of Aida at Davis High School with performances on July 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, and 9 at 7:00 pm. A matinee performance is also scheduled for July 4th at 2:00 pm. Tickets are priced at $8 per seat and are available at Bowman's, City Hall, or at the door.
Morning Ceremonies and Race Info
On the morning of July 4th, the day begins with salutes at 6:15 am followed by a flag ceremony at 8:00 am. A traditional breakfast hosted by Kaysville City Volunteers will be available at 6:30 am for $5 per person or $25 for a family of up to six. The Kaysville Rotary 5k/10k race will also take place that morning at the Davis High School Stadium, with pre-registration fees starting at $20 for those under 12 and $25 for those 12 and over.
Parade Route and Viewing Rules
The holiday schedule continues with the Kaysville City Parade traveling from 500 East to Main Street to 100 North to 100 East. This year, the city will not provide signs for chair or canopy placement; attendees are responsible for their own belongings and must follow rules prohibiting tarps or stakes.
Water Fight and Block Party
Following the parade, a Main Street Water Fight will occur between 550 S. and 350 S. Main Street. Participants are asked to bring their own water and refrain from using water balloons. On July 3rd, the Kaysville Theater Block Party will take place on Main Street from 9:00 pm until midnight, featuring food, music, dancing, and inflatables.
