Ammon Bundy arrested in southern Utah during traffic stop
He was booked into the Iron County Jail for investigation of failing to obey an officer, interfering with an officer, driving without registration and not having a valid license. Bundy was arrested Wednesday morning. I asked the driver if (the vehicle) was registered, and he stated, No, the arresting deputy wrote in the affidavit.

A motorcyclist died Monday morning, Oct. 5, 2026, following a collision with an Iron County school bus in Cedar City. The incident occurred at the intersection of State Route 56 and Lund Highway, and no students were on board the bus at the time of the crash.

71-year-old hiker rescued after loosing trail in Cottonwood Mountain area in Iron County
A 71-year-old woman was rescued after she got lost while hiking Willow Creek Trail in the Cottonwood Mountain area near Paragonah in Iron County in mid-September. Rescue teams were able to get GPS coordinates from the woman's phone, but unreliable cell service made them uncertain about their accuracy.
