Park City net-zero home wins 2026 national sustainability award
A Park City architect’s home has won a national sustainability award. The home was designed as a test case for green housing in a cold mountain climate. The home, designed by Wilson and built by PJ Builders, was completed in 2024, and honored for its innovative design this year.

Ammon Bundy arrested after I-15 traffic stop, walks freeway in Southern Utah in protest
A traffic stop over an expired vehicle registration landed Ammon Bundy in jail Wednesday. Iron County Sheriff’s Office officials said the pickup’s registration had been expired for two years and Bundy allegedly refused commands to get out as deputies arranged to impound it.

MIDA looms large at climate-focused panel in Park City
Candidates vying to represent the Wasatch Back in the Utah Legislature called for reform Tuesday. Local control and representation were the bases of GOP Rep. Tiara Auxier's critique. There were no Box Elder representatives on the MIDA board, who was approving the project for the data center, she said.

Park City Council considers how to support new local businesses
Park City won’t restart its economic development grant program, but leaders want to find other ways to support local businesses. But councilmembers agreed Thursday, Oct. Offered from 2006 to 2022, the grant was meant to support and grow existing businesses as well as attract new ones.
