Student eligibility and academic requirements
To qualify for the program, applicants must be enrolled as part-time or full-time students at the University of Utah and maintain good standing throughout their service. Requirements include maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.5 during the academic year.

Candidates must also possess knowledge of American Indian history, culture, and traditions.
