The 3ragged 32nd Annual Helper Arts Festival will return to the historic mining community of Helper, Utah, this August, bringing live music, sculpture, and a variety of handcrafted arts to Main Street from August 21 through August 23, 2026.

The festival, which is free to the public, serves as a major cultural event for Carbon County. According to information from the event organizers, the festival aims to encourage art and culture in the region, support the local artist community, and stimulate the local economy through the arts while providing access to art for all people regardless of income level or experience.
This year's iteration will feature an Artist Marketplace that includes ceramics, jewelry, painting, sculpture, and a dedicated children's art yard. The event is expected to draw an average attendance of more than 4,500 people to the downtown area.

Exhibitor Fees and Space Requirements
Exhibitors are assigned spaces throughout the festival area based on their media style and presentation. Standard booth space is a minimum of 10 feet by 10 feet, with a fee of $250 for the entire festival. Larger spaces may be available for an additional cost.
Food vendors are also permitted to participate, with 10-foot by 15-foot booth spaces priced at $300 for the duration of the event. Food vendor set-up is scheduled to begin on Thursday, August 20, 2026.
Regulations and Booth Security
The festival organizers have established strict regulations regarding booth maintenance and conduct. All booths must be secured with weights due to the occasional high winds experienced from the canyon. Because many booths are located on asphalt and concrete, exhibitors are responsible for providing their own displays, tables, and stands.
Helper Engine reserves the right to remove exhibitors without a refund if they are found guilty of improper conduct, attempt to sell work that is not original, or display artwork that is noticeably different from what was submitted in their application photos. Additionally, all work presented must be the artist's own creation; manufactured, commercial, or kit work will not be accepted.
Event Schedule and Set-up
The festival schedule for exhibitors begins with set-up on Friday, August 21, starting at 7:00 AM. Exhibition hours for the first day run from 12:00 PM until dusk. On Saturday, August 22, exhibition hours are from 9:00 AM until dusk.
The final day of the festival, Sunday, August 23, will feature exhibition hours from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM, at which point tear-down must begin. While booths may be left in place overnight, organizers do not recommend leaving artwork unattended and note that all items are displayed at the exhibitor's own risk.
Weather and Jury Statistics
While August is typically a temperate month in Helper, organizers remind participants that the festival will proceed regardless of weather or acts of God. Because of this policy, no refunds will be issued due to rain or wind.
On average, approximately 70 applications are submitted each year for the festival, with roughly 50 artists selected from the jury to participate in the event.
