The Summit County Library and Park City Library are presenting a variety of upcoming adult programs, including the One Book One Community 2026 selection, Go as a River by Shelley Read.
Recent programming highlights include the Emerging Issues discussion series. This month's topic is titled In _____ We Trust: Where to Turn Amid a Crisis of Trust, which explores sources of trust during periods when traditional institutions struggle with credibility.
The Emerging Issues program utilizes pre-readings and video screenings followed by small group discussions. Upcoming sessions at the Kimball Junction branch are scheduled for Monday, July 13 at 2:00 pm and Monday, July 20 at 6:00 pm.
Art enthusiasts can participate in monthly classes sponsored by the Friends of the Summit County Library at the Kimball Junction Branch. The upcoming schedule includes Book Bouquets on July 14 and Rock Painting on August 11.
A painting workshop led by local artist Amber Louder will also take place on the first Thursday of each month at the Coalville Branch, providing supplies for both teens and adults.
The library is also hosting a Rockport Breakout Box Activity as part of the One Book One Community initiative. This escape-room style event allows groups of 2 to 6 people to solve clues about the history of Rockport before it became a reservoir.

Other ongoing library offerings include the Adult Summer Reading Program, where participants can complete up to 16 activities for prize drawings. Additionally, various book clubs are active throughout the region, including the Book to Film Club in Kimball Junction, the Classic Film Club in Kamas Valley, and specialized groups in Coalville and Kamas.
