Park City Mountain has announced a series of enhancements and new features for the upcoming winter season. Spanning more than 7,300 acres of terrain in Utah's Wasatch Mountains, the resort is the largest ski resort in the United States.
A major addition for the season is the debut of the Sunrise Gondola at Canyons Village. This 10-person gondola is designed to nearly double the uphill capacity from the Canyons Village base area and is engineered to be less susceptible to wind holds.
Other scheduled improvements include a redesigned Summit House Lodge, which was reimagined by celebrity designer Jasmine Roth. The resort is also introducing a new magic carpet at the Red Pine Learning Zone and a new kid-forward dining area at Red Pine Lodge.
Snowmaking capabilities have also been expanded. Following previous investments, the resort replaced approximately 1,400 feet of snowmaking pipe and added about 700 feet of new pipe to ensure high quality snow surfaces.
The resort will host several events throughout the season, including the annual Tree Lighting celebration at Canyons Village and the Women's Weekend in March. The Peaks & Beats Music Festival is also scheduled to return to Canyons Village in late March.
Additionally, Park City Mountain has been named an official venue for the 2034 Olympic Winter Games, where it will host events such as men's and women's snowboarding halfpipe and freestyle skiing events.
Park City Mountain is located approximately 35 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. The resort features more than 330 trails, 42 lifts, and six terrain parks.
