The second annual Park City Jewish Festival will welcome the community to the Canyons Village lawn on Wednesday, August 6, for a free evening of music, food, and cultural celebration. The event follows the success of the inaugural festival held in August 2025, which organizers described as one of the largest Jewish community events ever held in Utah.
Star-Studded Musical Lineup
The festival features a diverse lineup of Jewish performers intended to appeal to a wide audience. Musical acts include the Los Angeles-based Hasidic pop-rock band 8th Day, which consists of a mixture of New York City and local musicians. Also scheduled to perform is the viral Hasidic electro-house artist Zusha, alongside American-Israeli rapper Nissim Black and Israeli singer Chaim Zippel.
Universal Appeal Through Music
Rabbi Yudi Steiger, representing Chabad Park City, noted that the music is designed to be both uplifting and universal. According to Steiger, while the performers have played stages worldwide and the music is rooted in Jewish tradition, the experience is intended for everyone regardless of their background.
"You don't have to be Jewish, you don't have to understand Hebrew or Yiddish to enjoy the music," Steiger said on KPCW's Local News Hour on August 3, 2026. "It's just simply good music that really speaks every language."
Food and Festival Logistics
In addition to the musical entertainment, the festival will offer a variety of dining options, including a Kosher food truck and Kosher beverage options. Organizers have indicated that the event is designed for the whole family and is open to the public, including those who are not Jewish.
While admission to the standing area is free, the United Jewish Federation of Utah noted that attendees have the option to bring a lawn chair or opt for reserved seating. To assist with security planning and food preparation, organizers ask that attendees register in advance.
Countering Antisemitism Through Celebration
The festival's return comes at a time when Chabad Park City is working to combat a global rise in antisemitism. Rabbi Steiger emphasized that the festival serves as a way to celebrate the beauty of Judaism directly rather than defining the community by external hatred.
"The best answer to antisemitism is more pro-semitism. Just come out there and celebrate," Steiger said on August 3, 2026. He noted that many people currently identify with Jewish identity due to targeted hatred, but the festival aims to provide a space for positive connection. "We have security and just celebrate with peace of mind. Be there, be in the moment and just experience pro-semitism."

The event is supported by various community sponsors, including Michael and Margot Benstock, as well as Blair and Tena Frank. The festival is set to take place at the Canyons Village lawn, described as the iconic hub for slope-side summer activity in Park City.
