The Utah County Health Department has scheduled a free, drive-up MMR vaccine clinic in Spanish Fork for April 22 following reports of new measles cases within the county.
The immunization clinic will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Spanish Fork Fairgrounds in the Ponderosa Building. According to the health department, the free vaccines for measles, mumps, and rubella are available for children at least six months old, teenagers, and adults who are not up to date on their shots, though supply is limited.
The push for vaccinations follows a December 2025 announcement from the Utah County Health Department regarding new measles cases in the area. This increased focus on immunization aligns with reminders from local schools, such as Sego Lily Elementary, which noted that annual flu shots and vaccinations are vital for keeping classrooms safe.
In addition to immunization efforts, the Utah County Health Department announced March 25 that it is seeking project proposals to address the use of e-cigarettes, marijuana, and other drugs among youth. The department is looking for community coalitions to submit prevention-focused proposals.
The health department continues its regular administrative operations, including scheduled Board of Health meetings and upcoming holiday closures. The department previously announced it would be closed on December 17, December 24, December 25, and January 1.
