The Salt Lake City School District (SLCSD) announced that applications for the Community Education After-School Program (CEASP) for the 2026–27 school year opened on July 15, 2026. The application process launched in alignment with regular school registration.
The after-school program is offered at all elementary and middle schools within the Salt Lake City School District. Enrollment is subject to staffing availability to ensure safe supervision for all students.
The CEASP provides enrichment activities including Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), STEAM, Digital Citizenship, Health and Wellness, and Enrichment Clubs. Programs run from school dismissal until at least 6:00 PM.
For the application process, families must ensure their students are enrolled in their day school prior to applying for the after-school program. Applicants will need their student ID and the student's new registration PIN. If these numbers are unavailable, parents can contact their school secretary.
Enrollment is conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, as the district does not maintain a waitlist. Once a student is accepted, parents will receive a confirmation email regarding the payment of a non-refundable registration fee and the first month's tuition.
The program maintains a staff-to-student ratio of 1 to 15. Capacity limits are set at 15 students per staff member for K-1, 2-3, and 4-6 grade level groupings.
Specific schools receive fee subsidization through the 21st CCLC grant. For the first cohort, this includes Liberty, Mountain View, and Rose Park elementary schools, as well as Glendale Middle School, with expiration dates through 2028. The second cohort includes Edison, Escalante, Franklin, Meadowlark, and North Star elementary schools, and Northwest Middle School, with expiration through 2030. Parkview Elementary School is also listed under an SAQ Grant expiring in 2026-2026.
Parents are reminded that students should not bring electronic devices or toys to the program. The district is not responsible for lost or broken items.
