The Leeds Town Council will hold a public meeting and hearing on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 7:00 PM, according to a September 4 notice.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at the Leeds Town Hall located at 218 N. Main Street, Leeds, UT 84746.
The meeting agenda includes a public hearing regarding a conditional use permit application from Nate Blake for a private cemetery on a rural residential lot.
Other discussion and possible action items include the implementation of City Inspect digital tracking software for permits and inspections. The council will also discuss updating the budget, which involves reducing park equipment funds from $10,000 to $8,000, increasing park maintenance from $1,000 to $3,000, reducing bookkeeper wages from $40,500 to $32,200, and increasing administration dues and subscriptions from $3,000 to $11,300.
Additional discussion topics include the Three Peaks to Purgatory Transmission Line and the rental of public works space.
The council will also host a special presentation by Javen Lambertson and Chief Dave Harmon regarding Firewise USA.
Announcements for upcoming local events include Dumpster Days on September 11 and 12 on Cherry Lane, a 9/11 Remembrance and Flag Retirement Ceremony on Friday, September 11 at 7:30 PM, and a cookout dinner on Friday, September 18 at the Town Park Peach Pit Pavilion at 6:30 PM.
