Rock Canyon is preparing to welcome students and families back for Back-to-School Night. According to a notice from the school, the event provides an opportunity for families to meet teachers, visit classrooms, and reconnect with friends.
The event includes several scheduled highlights. The PTA has arranged for the Riposo Lounge food truck to be stationed in the parking lot, offering drinks and desserts for purchase. Additionally, the school will announce the 2026-27 school musical in the music room.
Parents are encouraged to visit the library to write letters of encouragement for their children, which the school will deliver on the first day of school. Mr. Stimpson, a parent at Rock Canyon, will be present to share information regarding the Bike Bus, a program for students and families to bike to school together.
Various organizations and school programs will be represented. The Boys & Girls Club is exploring possibilities for before- and after-school care and clubs, and will have an interest survey available. The PTA will also have a table available for community members interested in learning how to support students and teachers.
For kindergarten families, assessment sign-ups will be available in the main entryway, where teachers will be present to assist with selecting a time.
The event is scheduled for Monday, August 17, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
