Workshop SLC has scheduled several upcoming creative workshops in South Salt Lake, offering sessions in leather bookbinding, pet sculpture, and holiday-themed printmaking throughout November and December 2026.
Leather Journal Bookbinding Class
A leather bookbinding workshop led by Amanda Parramoure is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026. The session will run from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and focuses on creating handcrafted journals using a traditional long-stitch binding technique.
Participants in the workshop will learn to prepare signatures of blank or lined paper, punch holes, and sew pages into a leather or faux leather cover using waxed thread. The class is designed for both beginner and experienced makers, though Workshop SLC noted that good hand strength is helpful for the process.
According to the workshop description, attendees will also interleave scrapbook papers and finalize their work with a charm to provide a personal touch. The completed bespoke journals will measure 7 x 4.75 inches. The cost for the session is $80, which includes all necessary materials and tools.
Pet Sculpture Workshop
A pet sculpture workshop with Morgan Allen is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 22, 2026. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the South Salt Lake location.
In this class, participants will use handbuilding techniques to create a mini, kiln-safe version of their pet. The goal of the workshop is to create tabletop decor that captures the personality and pose of the pet.
Workshop SLC requested that participants bring an inspiration photo of their pet's pose and personality to assist in the creation process. The workshop is open to all skill levels and the $70 registration fee includes all required supplies.
Holiday Printmaking Workshop
A printmaking workshop focused on holiday wrapping paper will be held on Friday, Dec. 4, 2026. The session is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and is led by Kay Fairbourn.
During this workshop, participants will design and carve their own linoleum stamps. These stamps are intended to be used to create custom wrapping paper for occasions such as Thanksgiving or Christmas.
The workshop is designed to help participants get into the holiday spirit through creative design. All skill levels are welcome to attend, and the $70 cost covers all supplies provided by the studio.

All three upcoming workshops are located at Workshop SLC, situated at 153 2100 South in South Salt Lake, UT, 84115.
Each session is designed to be a hands-on experience where all necessary materials and tools are provided to the participants. The workshops cover a range of artistic mediums, from leatherwork and ceramics to printmaking, catering to different interests and skill levels.
