The annual Swiss Days celebration in Santa Clara is scheduled to take place from September 24 through September 26, 2026. According to a notice on the city's website, the festival honors the Swiss pioneers who settled the area in 1861 and has been held annually since 1990.
The three-day event includes a community dinner and opening ceremonies featuring a Grand Marshal, the Volunteer of the Year, and Santa Clara Royalty. Scheduled activities include a 5K run/walk, a pancake breakfast, and a parade along Santa Clara Drive from the Jacob Hamblin Home to City Hall.
Other festivities include live entertainment, such as a Friday night concert, a yodeling contest, and a mooing contest. Visitors can also participate in various activities including a 3-point shooting contest, a silent auction, and pioneer-themed activities at Heritage Square.
The celebration also features local food and merchandise vendors, the Santa Clara Museum, and a variety of family-friendly games and inflatables.
