The Brian Head Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a meeting and public hearing on Oct. 6, 2026, according to a notice published Oct. 2. The meeting is slated to run from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 56 N Hwy 143.
The agenda for the upcoming meeting includes a public hearing regarding a zone change from R-2 to R-3 for Ivan Szu at Driftwood and Hwy 143. Additionally, the commission will conduct legislative action for a requested zone change from R-2 to R-3 for Ivan Szu at 761 Driftwood and three lots at 732 S. Hwy 143. Greg Sant, the Planning and Building Administrator, will present this item for the commission to review and provide a recommendation to the Town Council.
The meeting will also include a discussion item regarding commission training. Greg Sant is scheduled to report on training received at the current APA Conference. Other scheduled items include the call to order, the pledge of allegiance, disclosures, and the approval of minutes from the Aug. 4, 2026, Planning Commission Meeting.
Public input on non-agenda items will be limited to three minutes per person. Individuals requiring special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act may notify Nancy Leigh at (435)677-2029 at least three days before the meeting.
The meeting will be held at 56 N Hwy 143, Brian Head, UT 84719. Per ordinance No. 11-003, public bodies are authorized to hold electronic meetings where members may participate by electronic means.
