The Box Elder County Board of County Commissioners will hold an administrative/operational session and a regular commission meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026, according to a notice published Oct. 2.
The administrative/operational session is scheduled to begin at 4:45 P.M., followed by the regular commission meeting at 5:00 P.M. in the Commission Chambers of the Box Elder County Courthouse, located at 01 South Main Street in Brigham City, Utah.

During the regular meeting, Commissioner Bingham is scheduled to lead the invocation and Clerk Marla Young will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
Following the call to order at 5:00 P.M., the commission will review minutes from Sept. 16, 2026. Other scheduled agenda items include administrative reviews, reports, former agenda items, emergency management issues, and ARPA/LATCF matters.
Several specific items are scheduled for discussion by the commissioners. These include a lease agreement for parking lot spaces behind the DMV building involving Glen Thurston, a proclamation for Crash Responders Safety Week by Commissioner Perry, and a request from Megan Talamantez for signs, ribbons, and statistics in the courthouse yard for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Additionally, Valeen Peterson is scheduled to discuss allowing access on Willard Peak Road during seasonal road closures for Devils Gate property owners. The agenda also includes discussions on Ordinance #668, #669, #670, and #671 regarding various amendments to the county's land use code and zoning map, as well as a 2027 retirement incentive presented by Jenica Stander.
The public is permitted to provide comments during a designated public comment period, though no action will be taken during that time. Speakers are limited to one three-minute opportunity and must address comments directly to the County Commission. Participants must sign a comment roll and follow the County Commission Rules and Procedures.
Board members may participate in the meeting via phone or other electronic means rather than appearing in person.
The meeting will conclude with a review of the warrant register, personnel or volunteer actions, and a closed session before adjournment. The scheduled times for agenda items are estimates and may vary based on the length of discussion or cancellations.
