Brighton High School has a full schedule of events for the week of March 16-20, 2026, featuring numerous athletic contests and academic recognitions. The school continues to focus on its mission of fostering success through inclusive and supportive educational environments.
The school's athletic calendar includes several home and away matchups. Notable events include softball at American Fork, girls golf at Viewmont, and baseball at Pleasant Grove. Home games at Brighton feature boys soccer against Skyline, boys tennis against Mountain Crest, and boys volleyball against Alta.
Other scheduled competitions include regional orchestra at Woods Cross, theater one act region competition at Olympus, and the State Jazz Festival at Alta. The week also features a Band Festival Preview Concert in the auditorium and the BYU Concert Band Festival.
Academic achievements were highlighted by the announcement of the 2nd trimester Honor Roll. A total of 1,243 students earned honors, including 310 ninth graders, 308 tenth graders, 287 eleventh graders, and 338 twelfth graders.
Additionally, student government elections for next year's class officers are currently underway. Interested students can pick up application packets and attend an information meeting in Room 2418 on Tuesday, March 17.
Seniors are encouraged to apply for several scholarship opportunities, including the Paul Kirby Scholarship due March 26, as well as the Mont Millerberg and Draper Scholarships due March 27. The America First Scholarships have a deadline of April 30, 2026.
As Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week approaches, the Brighton PTSA is seeking donations via a dedicated link or through an Amazon wishlist for items to be delivered by April 13.
