Regarding campus safety, Shoreline Middle School maintains a closed campus policy. Students must be checked out by a parent, guardian, or emergency contact listed in PowerSchool to leave during school hours. Food deliveries are restricted to immediate family members, who may leave food at the office for staff to deliver during lunch; commercial food deliveries are not accepted.
The school's attendance policy requires families to contact the school within one week to excuse an absence due to illness, appointments, or travel. Absences can be excused via phone at 801-374-4980 (option 2), email, or by submitting a doctor's note to the Attendance Office. For safety, visitors must present a government-issued ID when entering the building or checking out a student, a process that may take up to 15 minutes.
