Salt Lake City is considering a request to temporarily close portions of several key downtown streets to support the Salt Lake Temple Reopening Celebration.
The proposed closures would be in effect from roughly March 2027 through October 2027 to ensure public safety and manage heavy pedestrian traffic. Officials are inviting the public to learn more about the proposal and upcoming public hearings.
