The annual Live PC Give PC giving day is scheduled for Nov. 6, featuring a new Group Giving Page Challenge aimed at encouraging community participation. The event, organized by the Park City Community Foundation, involves more than 130 local nonprofits working toward a collective goal.
The collective goal for the upcoming giving day is to raise $5.5 million from at least 6,800 donors. Participating nonprofits are eligible to win $47,500 in prize money based on the number of unique donors they secure rather than total dollar amounts. Donors can also benefit from matches and Power Hour boosts during the Nov. 6 event.
A new Group Giving Page Challenge has been introduced for this year's event. Clubs, companies, teams, and friend groups can create a custom giving page by Nov. 1 and share the link with their members. The group that secures the highest number of donors will receive $2,500 to donate to a participating nonprofit of its choice.
Multiple community celebrations are scheduled for Nov. 6. Events include a Giving Day Fest at the Park City Library from 4 to 6 pm, a Woodward Park City Giving Sesh from 4 to 8 pm, and a High West Saloon Party for those 21 and older from 8 pm to midnight.
The Park City Community Foundation also manages other community initiatives, including the Women’s Giving Fund and partnerships with professional advisors. The organization also operates a Resource Van that travels around the community.
Community members interested in participating can choose from 11 different ways to get involved, including volunteering or tuning in to KPCW for live updates.
