Kaysville City invites the community to attend the second open house for the Kaysville City Center Small Area Plan on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. The event will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the City Hall Council Chambers located at 23 East Center Street.
This session provides an opportunity for residents, property owners, and business operators to offer input intended to help shape the future of Downtown Kaysville.
Goals of the Small Area Plan
The Small Area Plan is a focused effort designed to build upon the 2022 General Plan. The project emphasizes preserving community character, improving walkability, enhancing economic vitality, and creating more vibrant public spaces.
Plan Scope and Community Engagement
The plan covers several sub-areas, including Mutton Hollow, Main Street North, and Historic Main Street, along with other zones identified for potential improvements. According to the city, there has been significant community engagement so far, with over 500 responses collected in early surveys.
How to Participate at Open House
Participants at the open house can view maps and concepts, speak directly with consultants and city staff, and leave written or mapped comments. The event allows community members to influence decisions regarding redevelopment, housing types, traffic management, and the placement of green spaces, sidewalks, and bike paths.
Preserving Character and Economic Vitality
Additional input can be provided by helping to protect historic buildings, architectural styles, and the small-town feel of the area. The project also aims to support business vitality through improvements to streetscapes, signage, access, and walkability.
